Firstly, thank you for visiting this site. CreationWitness’ purpose is to become a collaborative site for photography hobbyists of all skill levels. Sharing insights into how to best capture the beauty of an area is enabled through blogging.
Foremost in this purpose is to attest to the wonder of the creation. The creation theme runs throughout the Bible… prominently in Genesis, Job, Psalms, Isaiah, John’s gospel, Romans, and Revelation. A favorite passage is Job 12:
“But ask the beasts, and they will teach you;
the birds of the heavens, and they will tell you;
or the bushes of the earth, and they will teach you;[b]
and the fish of the sea will declare to you.
Who among all these does not know
that the hand of the Lord has done this?
In his hand is the life of every living thing and the breath of all mankind.
Many of you will be familiar with the Humane Society’s bumper sticker “Who rescued who?”. With over 80 million pets in the USA, this phrase certainly resonates. Animals are smart, aren’t they?, and we learn from them. Likewise, do we learn something beyond ourselves from a glorious sunrise? Indeed we do. Job’s point, made here in response to the musings of his friend Zophar, is to gain perspective not possible by looking inward.
Once again, thanks so much for your visit, and I hope you find it useful.
Sincerely,
